London

The Gates of Buckingham Palace

London is by far the largest city in the U.K. with a population of over 9 million and a history going back two thousand years. It is the financial and political capital of Britain. It is spread over a very large area and each borough has a distinct character.

The city attracts thousands of visitors each year and millions of people have come from other countries and now call it home.

I have been visiting London regularly for many years. One of my sons chose to make his home there so I can get an insider view. I have also recently spent several weekends exploring the Capital with a walking group.
